Let’s Just Live in the Past

Maybe it’s a bit of early onset nostalgia of a time before society collapsed that’s making me want to share  memories of a simpler, less stir-crazy time. All hope of happy times like these ahead with my family has dried up like a dead starfish on concrete  now and I can hardly look at these pictures with out shedding a jellyfish shaped tear over how innocent we were at the impending fall of all we held dear about out lives- like stability and toilet paper.

Anyway, this is a trip to what was called an “Aquarium”.

The great fish tank contains sharks among other things. Lily was pretty into the whole “Baby Shark” thing, but it turned out real sharks aren’t cute enough to sing about.

They put in this play space/parent rest area and that mushroom thing unnerved me to no end.

Let us take a moment to appreciate that her bat purse matches her shoes- she was very proud of this.

“Come children, feel the real corpses of the deep!” BTW the man at this table said that the puffer fish puffs up to scare enemies away, but then he usually dies because blowing himself like that is too much. We all got quiet because the children were just visiting the live version and trying to make faces to get him to inflate/murder himself in fear. That man must’ve been bored at work because none of that is true.

This was taken moments before one of these birds ripped out a chunk of her hand and with it,and  a chunk of her faith in the good of the world.
