Far from Pinterest

This is pretty much the only time of year that gets me crafty these days.

I’m not particularly good at it, but I cling to the possibility that I probably could be if I had the time to really focus and take the time to get things just the way I like them, if I actually took the time to go out to get the right tools/ ingredients instead of just using whatever was on hand- oh, and had a nice, clean, uncluttered work space….basically if I did not actually have children at all, I would probably be just fantastic at making things for them.

But as you can see that isn’t the case.

The thing about stuff like this is that the girls do not care about perfection and surprising them with these little things lights up their day AND gets the smaller one to enthusiastically eat the things, which is worth the effort right there.

Bagels and Scream Cheese.
These were supposed to be spiders, but ended up coming out more as soot sprites. Mark got a little creeped out when he came home at 4am and opened the fridge to see a couple of dozen of these guys staring at him.
Flightless Spaghetti Monster.
Cookie Ghost and What.
